General regulations

Unfortunately, at the time of booking we are unable to guarantee that the prisoner will not be relocated before the agreed appointment date, which would result in the appointment being cancelled. The visiting department has no influence on this. Visits generally take place without any acoustic monitoring. Visits will only be subject to acoustic monitoring in the case of prisoners on remand with a court order (decision relating to restrictive measures). In such cases, visitors must initially apply for a visiting permit from the responsible court. This can also be sent by post. Only German may be spoken during these visits. If this is not possible, a sworn court interpreter must attend the appointment. In such case, please contact the court to clarify who is responsible for appointing and paying the interpreter. Interpreters are obliged to carry proof that they are sworn court interpreters and to leave this proof at reception for the duration of the visit if requested.
